Data Warehouse Appliance Vendor to Benefit from Ingres’ Worldwide Sales Efforts, 24x7 Enterprise Support and Ongoing Product Enhancements

The new alliance involves deeper technology collaboration with DATAllegro contributing code as part of Ingres’ community process. Through both companies’ development efforts each of the technologies will be further optimized to work better together. In addition, the companies will share product roadmaps and DATAllegro will receive global 24x7 enterprise support from Ingres. DATAllegro has used the Ingres open source database in its data warehouse appliance since 2004. During that time, DATAllegro invested substantial development efforts to strengthen the database’s data warehousing capabilities. As part of DATAllegro’s new open, flexible architecture (see related press release from today), DATAllegro has decided to further leverage the ongoing Ingres database advances, allowing DATAllegro to focus on innovating its patent-pending software.
